Working chef - Chris DeLorme born in Greece, NY & raised in Bloomfield, NY embodies a life long passion for food, family and small town virtues attended Paul Smith's College for Culinary Arts, where he met his wife and Lyndonville native McKenna Christ. Chris has spent the last almost 20 years honing his skills at premier restaurants up and down the east coast. Rising the ranks for many years at Bristol Harbor Country Club in South Bristol, NY to most recently Banquet Chef at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, NY.
On a congruent path McKenna also worked as a Chef for many years, often in the same kitchens before moving into the the of role of Restaurant Operations Manager. With a cumulative range of experience & a combined almost 40 years in all types of venues from diners & catering operations to fine hotels.
In a return to our roots with our five children, we'd like to thank everyone that has supported us thus far in a venture that is equal parts family & business. We're excited to revel in our happy place of casual New American comfort food & country life.

We are honored to be the stewards of this landmark that has housed so many generational memories, with more to be made. The Grove 1848 is the fruition of a plan years in the the making, returning to our west side roots with over 200 years of family legacy in Clarkson & Lyndonville in this family venture.
Inspired by our deep appreciation for family, local agriculture & Grandma's farm in Clarkson Corners where the century old apricot "Grove" still stands and fruits time to time! Honoring both Grandma's farm & the street address here "The Grove 1848" was formed.
We are excited to present our vision of casual crave-able scratch cooking creations highlighting the bounty of Western New York to you and all our guests. With no walk in freezer on site all of our products & produce are brought in fresh every week from loyal purveyors & farms.
